Tai Poutini Polytechnic (TPP) is focused on developing a sustainable model that ensures the viable, ongoing delivery of tertiary education and vocational training on the West Coast.
Crown Manager Murray Strong was appointed by Government at the end of 2016 to work with the Polytechnic’s Council and leadership team to chart a path forward for the provision of quality, relevant tertiary education for the region.
Tertiary education and vocational training needs to meet the needs of local students and the West Coast industry. Work is underway right now to develop a plan that ultimately achieves this goal. The plan will draw on the expertise and opinion of local West Coast community leaders, industry groups and individual residents.
We want local people to have their say on what they think is needed for the region.
TPP will be hosting a series of community discussions over the coming months, starting in late March.
Keep an eye on this website for information on how you can take part in the process and help shape the future delivery of tertiary education on the West Coast.
